Meet Mark Isitt at Hem Villamässan
Grand Design Sweden’s popular presenter Mark Isitt returns to Hem Villamässan. His message is clear and strong: the aesthetic values of architecture must be highlighted and discussed on a broader front.
– In Sweden, the artistic values that make us fall in love with a house are often overlooked. At this year’s fair, I hope to spark more conversations about the aesthetic aspects of building and how crucial they are to our relationship with the home,” says Mark Isitt.
During Hem Villamässan, Mark will give two talks each day, sharing his thoughts on urban planning, architecture and living environments. He believes that aesthetic values have an important role to play in the sustainability debate, especially when it comes to preserving and caring for buildings.
– A sustainable house is more than just energy-efficient materials. It has to be aesthetically pleasing for us to want to take care of it in the long run. It is the beauty that binds us to a home and makes us care about maintaining it,” says Mark Isitt.
After each performance, Mark will be on hand at the side of the stage, giving visitors the opportunity to meet him in person and ask questions.
