Tobias Gardebrink, plumbing installation advisor
What is your background in HVAC work?
– I have been working with HVAC installations since 1994 when I graduated. I started my company (Provvs.se) in 1998 and since then I have been driven by working with customers and colleagues who want to create good results and who appreciate quality.
Can you tell us a bit more about your business?
– Today we are 8 people in our team who mainly work with private individuals as customers. There is a strong focus on customer satisfaction, which brings us repeat and new customers. Our testimonials bear witness to that. My belief is that every customer needs to be heard, understood and informed to feel confident that we are right for the job. That’s why we take the time to familiarize ourselves with the work before it is carried out. Although many of our assignments are recurring, it is important to review them.
Furthermore, we mostly work according to fixed prices that we agree before starting. I know that there are often misunderstandings between the client and the contractor regarding billing in ongoing projects, so we want to avoid that with this approach. This provides security for the client who knows what will be included, what it will cost and when it will be ready. As well as letting us do the job as agreed, they can concentrate on other things and win back that time too.
What is the best thing about the advice area at the Home & Villa Fair?
– My view is that the visitor has a unique opportunity to ask us, who are industry experts, have worked in the field for many years and, above all, are impartial, about their construction projects. This way, they can get the “hard truth” if that’s the case, or we can help with consultation on variants of solutions that the visitor has been thinking about.
The advantage of having been in the profession for many years is that we have accumulated a lot of examples of “do’s and dont’s”. It can help the inquirer avoid pitfalls early on and give them a nudge in the right direction or maybe even a rocket start in the project.
What should you do? Where should I shop? Should I focus on quality? What is right and wrong? The answers to these questions will help you move forward in your work.
